How to remove your CareVoice account and all associated data.

Privacy-first design: CareVoice stores most of your data locally on your device. Only minimal account information is stored in the cloud. You have full control over deleting both.

1. What Data Is Stored

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is never uploaded to our servers:

Data Stored in the Cloud

If you signed in with Google, the following minimal data is stored in Google Firebase:

Data Purpose
Email address Account identification
Display name Personalisation
Invoice count Freemium limit tracking
Subscription status Feature access (free / pro)

No health data, invoice content, participant details, or progress notes are ever stored in the cloud.

2. How to Delete Your Data

1 Delete Local Data (In-App)

To remove all locally stored data from your device:

  1. Open the CareVoice app
  2. Tap your profile icon (top-right corner)
  3. Select "Clear All Data"
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted

This will permanently erase all invoices, participants, progress notes, and profile data stored on your device. This action cannot be undone.

2 Delete Cloud Account and Data

To delete your cloud account and all associated data stored in Firebase:

  1. Send an email to jyong756@gmail.com
  2. Use the subject line: "CareVoice Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include the email address associated with your CareVoice account

We will process your request and permanently delete all cloud data associated with your account.

Processing time: Cloud data deletion requests will be processed within 30 days of receiving your email. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.

3. What Happens After Deletion

This action is irreversible. Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Please ensure you have exported any invoices you wish to keep as PDF before requesting deletion.

4. Alternative: Uninstall the App

Uninstalling the CareVoice app from your device will remove all locally stored data. However, if you signed in with Google, your cloud account data will remain unless you also submit a deletion request as described in Step 2 above.
